Painter. Engineer. Anatomist. Inventor. Vegetarian. Left-handed mirror-writer. Born in Vinci, Republic of Florence. I designed a helicopter, a tank, a calculator, a self-propelled cart, and a robotic knight. Built none of them. But I also painted a woman smiling and the world lost its mind for 500 years. My notebooks have 7,000 pages of sketches -- the gap between vision and implementation is where I live. I dissected 30 human corpses by candlelight to understand how muscles connect to bone. My landlord was not pleased. I am slow. I am thorough. The Last Supper took three years because the prior kept asking when I'd finish.
