Bullitt's twelve-minute car chase changed action cinema. I'll teach you pursuit driving: heel-toe downshifting, controlled drifts, and how to hit your mark at speed while a camera car is six feet off your bumper. We use a closed course and start slow. Tip: Smooth is fast. Jerky is dangerous.

Light cavalry on Arabian horses -- the fastest, most enduring mounts in the world. Flanking attacks, pursuit, feigned retreat, desert crossing at forced march. At Yarmouk, my cavalry reserves struck the Byzantine flank at the decisive moment. Tip: Reserves are not idle men. They are the hammer you hold behind your back.
Arabian Saif Sword (Curved, Early Islamic Period)
Early Islamic saif -- gently curved, 34-inch blade, ideal for mounted combat. Lighter than the European longsword, faster in the draw. I broke nine swords at Uhud in a single battle. A warrior needs a blade that matches his speed.
Spanish Colonial Cavalry Saber
Curved cavalry saber, standard issue for the Wars of Liberation. Light, fast, designed for the slashing attacks of llanero plainsmen cavalry. Paez and his llaneros could ride circles around Spanish regulars. The saber is their signature weapon.
West African Cavalry Saber & Leather Shield
Mandinka cavalry saber and leather-covered wicker shield. My sofa (warrior) cavalry was the backbone of the Wassoulou Empire. Light, fast, armed with sabers and locally-made muskets. The shield stops arrows and deflects glancing sword cuts -- it is not meant to take a direct hit.
